River flooding, firefighters evacuate houses in Faenza

In Ravenna expected the flood of the rivers Montone and Lamone

The wave of bad weather that hit the Ravenna area does not stop. Also for the next few hours a worsening is expected and the Municipality of Ravenna launches an alert for the possible flooding of the Montone and Lamone fumes with a strong risk of exceeding level 3, the highest. The local police and the Civil Protection continue monitoring and the utmost caution is recommended for the hydrogeological risk. The Municipality of Ravenna recommends to all citizens to follow for updates the institutional social channels and the mayor Michele de Pascale and the www.comune.ra.it website.

Those who live near the rivers must prepare for a possible evacuation, as happened in other centers of Ravenna. The note issued by the Municipality also lists the most important behaviors to be adopted, in the name of the utmost caution: do not go to the basements, pay particular attention to the state of the waterways and do not access the huts along them; Do not drive unless strictly necessary and, if necessary, pay attention to any flooded roads and do not access underpasses if you find them flooded.

A night of fear and waiting in Ravenna for the flood expected for the rivers Lamone and Montone. The situation remains critical and the Municipal Operations Center i Ravenna continues to monitor the areas most at hydrogeological risk. In particular, the hamlets of San Pancrazio and Ragone, San Marco and all the houses near the Montone river are under close observation, as well as the hamlets of Santerno, Ammonite, Mezzano, Glorie and Torri near the Lamone. The inhabitants have been alerted for a possible evacuation, in case the situation worsens.

Around 4 this morning, volunteers went to Ponte Vico, where the Montone flows, to place sandbags according to the indications of the Regional Civil Protection Agency. At the moment the Ragone bridge, manned by the local police and the Guardia di Finanza, has been closed as a precaution. In the next few hours a possible reopening will be evaluated.

As far as the Lamone is concerned, the bridges of Traversara and Villanova are being monitored in particular, in collaboration with the competent subjects regarding Bagnacavallo and Lower Romagna.

Tuscany until 13 today yellow alert

Also in Tuscany the yellow code warning for rain has been extended to 13 pm today. A disturbance coming from the Adriatic, it is explained, favors strong winds, rain and thunderstorms that will continue even in the next 24 hours.
