The police arrested four of Yoo Ain's bystanders on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act and converted them into suspects.

They were the people who accompanied Yu when he returned from the United States on Feb. 4.

These are the writers from the U.S. college, American men, and YouTubers with whom Yu has revealed his close friendship.

At the beginning of the investigation, he was a reference person, but his identity changed when it was confirmed that he helped Mr. Yu take drugs or administered them himself.

Police further raided their residence late last month, and some people, like Yu, reportedly tested positive for cannabis.

It was also discovered that Mr. Yu had been prescribed one of the narcotics, zolpidem, on behalf of him.

Zolpidem is used as a treatment for insomnia, but it is classified as a narcotic drug, so it is recommended that a person be prescribed a maximum of 4 tablets per month based on 2 mg.

Police believe that Yu, who had difficulty prescribing duplicates, received multiple surrogate prescriptions through multiple bystanders.

[Oh In-suk/Former Academic Director of the Korean Pharmaceutical Society: If it acts on the central nervous system, it is addictive. If I am prescribed it and I give it to someone else without taking it, it violates the law because it is a concept of transferring narcotics....]

Police are also investigating more than 5 hospitals and clinics that overprescribed propofol or prescribed zolpidem as a substitute.

The police plan to summon Yu once more and conclude the investigation within this month, but three months have passed since the investigation began, which some say is too slow compared to other drug investigations.
