The federation of hunters of the Drôme has equipped its headquarters in Crest (Drôme) with a brand new equipment called "Cinématir". The device designed to simulate different hunting situations and train practitioners was inaugurated on Friday. The prefect and the president of the department were present, says France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

The 100,000 euros that the device costs were financed by the federation. "Cinématir" and its screen of 8 meters by 3 allow to evolve in 750 different virtual scenery. To enjoy it, you have to come with your rifle, on which sensors and a laser are then placed. The simulator then makes different animals appear in front of the user.

The device is programmed to analyze the accuracy of the shot and identify any breaches of safety rules. The objective is to train the hunter and help him adopt the right gestures in the field. With this investment, the federation explained that it wanted to "show all the attention it pays to security and break with the image of dangerousness conveyed by [its] most radical opponents".
