In the search for two missing teenagers, police in the American state of Oklahoma came across seven bodies, including those of the girls. According to the sheriff of Okmulgee County, investigators discovered 14-year-old Ivy and 16-year-old Brittany on Monday at a remote estate near Henryetta, about 80 kilometers south of Tulsa.

Among the other five bodies was that of sex offender Jesse McFadden. The thirty-nine-year-old had been released from prison in October 2021 after almost 17 years. McFadden was originally sentenced to more than 2003 years behind bars for rape in 20. However, as required by Oklahoma law, he was released early after serving 85 percent of his sentence. Meanwhile, the relationship between the girls and the convicted sex offender remained open.

The Seuxal offender was awaiting another criminal trial

As Ivy's father told the local station "News on 6", the fourteen-year-old spent a few weekends at the McFadden family's estate in the past. There were no "incidents" during the visits. Whether the other four bodies were members of the sex offender's family or other juveniles remained unclear on Monday.

According to reports in American media, the thirty-nine-year-old was expected to face another criminal trial in a court in the neighboring Muskogee district on Monday. McFadden was accused of making contact with a minor while still in custody after the rape. In addition, child pornography recordings are said to have been discovered on him. McFadden did not appear at the agreed court date on Monday.

In the hours before, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol had already searched for Ivy and Brittany. The parents of the young people had reported them missing after they had not come home on Monday night. Whether there were other minors among the bodies in addition to Ivy and Brittany, the sheriff of Okmulgee County, Eddy Rice, left open for the time being. On the other hand, the school administration in Henryetta, where the two girls attended high school, said it was mourning "some students". How they died, remained unclear on Monday.
