Celebrity parade at the Met Gala in New York, one of the most anticipated social events in the Big Apple, dedicated this year to the German designer Karl Lagerfeld: who died in 2019, at the age of 85.

For everyone, the "dress code", the dress to wear, must be a tribute to Chanel's creative history.

Among the most photographed Gisele Bundchen, former model and ex-wife of football legend Tom Brady, who wore a long Chanel dress with feathered accessories; Nicole Kidman, who remembered the legendary designer as a sort of "shepherd" who guided her "in terms of love of fashion", Penelope Cruz who called herself "lucky" to have known Lagerfeld and Salma Hayek.

Admired and applauded by the crowd - who witnessed the arrival of the stars - other actresses such as MaudeApatow, Olivia Wilde and Vanessa Kirby.

The spotlight will also be on the super guest models, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Karen Elson, Ashley Graham andthe very Italian Vittoria Ceretti.

The most sensual outfit: that of Kim Kardashian, who for the occasion presented herself with a dress of only pearls by Schiaparelli, which left little to the imagination.

Small unscheduled during the red carpet, with the arrival of the actor Jared Leto, dressed as a cat - which has disoriented not a little those present.
Leto, often among the most extravagant guests at the party, then took off his white fur costume and revealed a black suit with a long cloak and sequin straps. The American actor and musician was not the only one to present himself with the cat costume: even the singer Doja Cat appeared unrecognizable thanks to a flashy feline makeup on the face, including the nose, and a glittery hooded dress.

Both wanted to pay tribute to Choupette, Lagerfeld's beloved cat.

The designer's eleven-year-old Burmese cat had been officially invited to the gala - but did not show up. So announced his agent, Lucas Bèrullier. Choupette has an official Instagram account, "choupetteofficiel", followed by 176 thousand followers.

The Met Gala, organized and chaired by Anne Wintour, historical director of "Vogue", since 1995, has become a popular celebration of fashion, but also an opportunity to raise funds for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art: where more than 150 creations of the legendary German couturier are collected.
