A judicial investigation for attempted murder was opened on Monday against a man suspected of a violent attack in Grigny (Essonne). The facts took place in the night from Friday to Saturday. A 25-year-old man was attacked with a knife and wounded in the face, chest, eye, neck and hand, reports Le Parisien. The suspect's girlfriend allegedly helped him commit the violence.

She is the victim's former partner. The man assaulted allegedly went on a scheduled date with his ex-girlfriend and was stabbed by her new partner. "It was his ex-companion who called the firefighters, said the prosecutor's office of Evry-Courcouronnes (Essonne). Her statements were incoherent, she contradicted herself. She was therefore taken into custody. »

The young man stabbed underwent several major surgeries on Saturday. He is now out of danger. Investigations will have to determine whether the two suspects attempted to kill the victim and the nature of their motives.
