The luxury jewelry Bulgari, located on the emblematic Place Vendôme in Paris, was the subject of an armed robbery Saturday early afternoon, we learned from the police and the prosecutor's office, confirming information from Actu17.

According to the first elements, three individuals aboard two motorcycles presented themselves at the jewelry store around 13:45 p.m., said a police source. Two of them were carrying long guns, she said, adding that they had beaten the security guard.

On videos posted on social networks that seem to correspond to the robbery, we see two large black motorcycles parked on the sidewalk, in front of the jewelry store. A helmeted man, armed and dressed in black keeps watch. Then the three men fled on the two motorcycles, according to the images.

A previous heist in 2021

An investigation of flagrance for armed robbery in organized gang has been opened and entrusted to the brigade for the repression of banditry (BRB) of the Paris judicial police, said the Paris prosecutor's office.

The Bulgari jewelry store had already been the subject of an armed robbery in September 2021, the damage to which had been estimated at ten million euros. Among the team of robbers, one had been wounded in the leg by a police officer. Arrested, he was indicted and imprisoned.

In June 2022, two other suspects aged 26 and 37 and from Seine-Saint-Denis, were arrested. They were also charged and remanded in custody.
