The Dubai Food Festival, the region's largest celebration of food and culinary arts, organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), will continue until the seventh of May, offering an exceptional range of activities, events and experiences.

During the festival, Dubai will become a destination for gourmets and food lovers, with hundreds of restaurants, cafes and chefs presenting unique culinary experiences and innovative local and international concepts in the field of food preparation.

This year's festival underscores Dubai's continued position in the food and restaurant tourism sectors over the past 10 years, making it a global culinary hub, given the number of restaurants recognised in international programmes, including Michelin, as well as the list of the top 50 restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa and the UAE edition of Gault & Millau. Perhaps the most prominent confirmation of this development in the sector is the doubling of restaurants from 5500,2013 in 13 to more than 2023,<> restaurants in <>.

For all desires

One of the highlights of the festival is Dubai Restaurant Week, which allows lovers of multiple flavours and food to experience the tastes of more than 50 of Dubai's best and most famous restaurants, with two-course lunches starting from AED 95 per person and a three-course dinner starting from AED 150. The options at Dubai Restaurant Week feature a wide range of European, Asian, Middle Eastern and Latin Eastern cuisines, catering to different tastes and desires.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: "Through Dubai Restaurant Week, we look forward to highlighting the huge diversity that Dubai has witnessed over the past 10 years in the number of local restaurants, as well as the international restaurants that have chosen the emirate as its headquarters, especially with the presence of a special system for restaurant classification, which has enhanced Dubai's competitiveness in this field. Prepared by a group of the most skilled chefs at competitive and distinctive prices, to provide everyone with the opportunity to experience food in a distinctive festive atmosphere."

A real opportunity

Dubai Food Festival 2023 is an opportunity for food lovers to experience the authentic tastes of the world's most famous cuisine, as the flavours of Dubai vary from Asian cuisine, European dishes, Arabic recipes, fresh Emirati flavours, and much more that take foodies to unique culinary concepts, including Dubai Restaurant Week, the city's chefs, and the signature dish served for AED 10.

«Beach Canteen»

The Beach Canteen, sponsored by Etisalat & e, was held on Jumeirah Beach with a host of exciting events and activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Dubai Food Festival.

Food Fox Dubai is also taking place at Beach Canteen, showcasing the city's diverse culinary and dining experiences through the work of the winning photographers, in collaboration with Gulf Photo Plus (GPP). In addition, this year's event will see more international and local restaurants join, providing more experiences ranging from fast food to fine tastes, with the most delicious flavors, discoveries and desserts.

The most prominent participation in this event is the participation of Bahar, the second original concept created by Farm to Table, as the restaurant offers the finest products of local farms in the UAE in a selection of international dishes, as the restaurant believes in the importance of recycling, and works to convert food waste into fertilizer, within a waste-free business plan using 100% local products, with the help of local small and medium enterprises to reduce carbon emissions.

Outdoors
