Bows, arrows and knives of different types and sizes are special and permanent guests at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, adding to its charm and beauty, as it is a pivotal tool in hunting, land and camping trips, and distinctive heritage elements that have been passed on by generations, and as the basic tools that man has carried throughout the ages, and is still present to this day in the home, hunting and trips.

Today, the best materials, methods and metals are used in their production to ensure their hardness and effectiveness, according to simple traditional designs or innovative modern, and their prices vary greatly according to the difficulty and accuracy of the design, the duration of work on its implementation, and the metal used.

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition annually attracts major manufacturers of white hunting weapons, and exhibitors are required to adhere to all approved controls, instructions and safety and security procedures.

The Higher Organizing Committee of the exhibition launched a guide to "Procedures for buying and selling knives, bows and arrows", directed to exhibitors, as the sale of hunting weapons is subject to many conditions and mechanisms.

The list of white weapons that are prohibited from display or sale includes: knives and knives not used for habitual civilian purposes, swords and daggers (except for heritage ones), blinds, spears and darts and their blades, axes and hoes of all kinds not used for habitual civilian purposes, bats with bayonets or metals loaded with metals prepared for combat purposes, combat sickles, laser sticks and electric sticks, electrical self-defense units, chains, sticks or nails ending in a pulley with thorns, and chains associated with a type of White weapons, laser automatic weapons and live ammunition.

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) offers tens of thousands of its fans a unique live simulation experience for archery enthusiasts in an ideal safe environment targeting beginner and intermediate levels in this exciting type of shooting in a distinctive interactive activity, to discover personal abilities and challenge friends and other visitors.

The exhibition organizes workshops and educational presentations on how to archery with a bow in cooperation with some participating exhibitors from official clubs and private companies, as part of efforts to introduce this interesting sport, for which many private clubs have been established in many countries. The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is the only event in the UAE that allows visitors to purchase hunting and shooting weapons, whose designers, manufacturers and experts compete to provide the best products to hunters and shooters with high craftsmanship, and in each new edition there are remarkable and rare innovations in the world of hunting and shooting.

Terms and guidelines

The safety of visitors and exhibitors is at the top of the event's priorities, so the Supreme Organizing Committee was keen to issue the guideline and work to apply the best safe practices in buying and selling bows and arrows, in addition to hunting knives, as it is forbidden to sell them to those under the legal age, and the presence of a guardian is required for buyers between the ages of 18 and 20 years, while knives, arrows and bows are delivered outside the internal exhibition halls when leaving the site, and one of the tasks of the exhibition's security team is to help finish Sales deliveries.

The procedures after completing the sale of the weapon to the buyer include filling out the purchase form for the exhibition, and making sure that the point of receipt chosen by the buyer is specified.

The buyer must be informed that he must exit the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre as soon as he receives the knife he purchased, and cannot enter it again into the exhibition.

The exhibitor delivers the purchased items to ADNEC's Private Security Officer along with the buyer's purchase form, to be delivered to him at the specified pick-up point, and the knives are not sold after half past nine in the evening, in order to give buyers enough time to receive the purchased knives and leave the venue within the exhibition time.
