Jordan: Mother tortures three children by burning and "biting" because "she doesn't like her life"

A Jordanian court is hearing a case of a mother torturing her three daughters in a cruel and chilling manner.
A mother burned and tortured her daughter with a tablespoon after heating her on the fire and placing her five-year-old daughter, according to the mother-in-law, who filed a complaint with the Jordanian judiciary against her daughter-in-law.

The grandmother, who asked not to be identified, told Jordan's Roya website that her daughter-in-law has three daughters and that she tortures them, adding that she feels the lives of her granddaughters are in danger from their mother.

She added that one day the mother carried a heater and threw it while it was burning on one of her children, which led to the burning of the child's feet, taking advantage of her husband's imprisonment following a case of checks without balance.

She pointed out that the wife had filed a complaint against her husband, accusing him of beating and abusing her, confirming this with a medical report submitted to the Family Protection Department, to show the validity of her claim, and to be able to single out her three children, after the imprisonment of her husband, who she believes prevents her from raising her daughters in her own way.

She explained that the wife "bitten" her children in a brutal way and hurt them mercilessly, which is why the husband is angry with her and beats her, according to the grandmother's justification.

On the reasons that push the wife to torture her children, her mother-in-law said that she is "disturbed by her life and does not like it," which makes her in a state of unconsciousness and nervousness, as she carries with her a weapon "dagger", to threaten anyone who approaches her.
