The sentence was irrevocable for Helena. The 27-year-old Belgian physio was eliminated by the adventurers of "Koh-Lanta, the sacred fire" during the council of the last episode broadcast Tuesday on TF1. Several months after the shooting, she is not angry at having been betrayed by those who claimed to vote "on merit".

You were very surprised by your elimination...

I clearly didn't expect that. I was disappointed by what is for me a general betrayal. Everyone said it was the "Koh-Lanta" of merit but, if we follow that logic, it was not up to me to go out. I have always voted more on merit than affinity. I would never have eliminated someone "strong" to be able to win events. For me, if you are good at trials and you are active in the camp, you do not deserve to leave.

Which vote against you surprised you the most?

I thought Tania was going to go out because Gilles, Laura and Nicolas had to vote against her. So it was the vote of these three against me that surprised me the most unpleasantly. In my opinion, they wanted to make a big move because they thought I would be formidable at the pole proof.

It's rather flattering to be eliminated because you "scare" others, right?

It's flattering, but it really disappointed me because I don't have that mentality at all. I would never have voted against Clémence, for example. She is super efficient and clearly has her place in the game. This revealed everyone's mentality: there are those who want to compete with the "strong" and those who want to eliminate them to get past them.

Your name had evoked from the first day of the adventure, because some found you too dirigiste...

People got me wrong and changed their voting intention themselves at the time. I had no idea they wanted to eliminate me. They probably thought that it was not because I had thrown one or two sentences a little loudly that they had to do without me. What's hard is going from zero votes to councils to all of a sudden, boom, everyone against me. Being machine-gunned in one shot is complicated.

You did not suspect anything of the alliance "Power 4" between Quentin, Gilles, Frédéric and Nicolas?

They hid their game well. I knew Quentin and Frédéric were in ankle, but I thought they were with Clémence and me. I guess they liked to play a double game and maintain both fronts. Me, when someone like Gilles says to me: "I am with you", I believe him. I'm a little too naïve perhaps. Why give me a piece of information if it is false? If you're not with me, don't say so. I also struggled with the fact that Laura agreed with Clémence and me and then changed her mind after talking to Nicolas.

How do you view your adventure?

I'm super happy. I have a lot of positive feedback from people who tell me that I give 100% on the sporting events. I never really faltered or underperformed.

If you had the opportunity, what would you do differently?

I would deny my values a little and I would be a little more deceitful. I would be more strategist. I wouldn't trust anyone. I will not hesitate to say left to right "I am with you" to have the most people in my pocket. It's just that, in everyday life, I'm not like that.
