Four dead, two seriously injured: all very young - according to initial information they would be between 17 and 27 years old.
It was more or less 23 pm, last night, when on the road 231 between Bitonto and Bari there was a head-on collision that caused a massacre.
The victims are all originally from Bitonto. Two boys and two girls, in a grey Opel Corsa, died instantly. The two injured, also very young, were instead aboard a Renault Scenic.
The dynamics of the disaster have yet to be defined. The two cars collided head-on, but it is not yet clear which of the two proceeded in the direction of Bari and which in the direction of Bitonto. The Fire Brigade intervened, who extracted the bodies from the metal sheets, while the agents of the Bitonto police station proceed with the investigations and the carabinieri of the Modugno command have taken action to manage the road network.
The ambulances transported the boy driving the Scenic to the Policlinico di Bari, while the girl, with multiple fractures, was taken to the Di Venere hospital in Bari-Carbonara.
"She's the only sister I had," says one of the victims' relatives, who arrived at the scene.
