After his fifth wedding and the birth of his daughter August Francesca, Nicolas Cage's financial situation is on the rise again. As the Oscar winner told CBS over the weekend, he has managed to repay more than six million dollars in debt in recent years, which he had accumulated through real estate purchases.

Cage accepted every role and made up to four films a year. "Work has always caught me. Even if it was a lousy movie, I always gave it my all," said the 59-year-old Californian. Cage, known for box office hits such as "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Moonstruck", had played parts in rather unnoticed productions such as "Pig" and "The Trust".

After four failed marriages, including with actress Patricia Arquette and Elvis daughter Lisa Marie Presley, he married Japanese Riko Shibata two years ago. Last summer, the twenty-eight-year-old gave birth to their first child together.
