A boy of about 25 years was shot dead in the late afternoon in Via Polleri in the Carmine district in the center of Genoa at the end of a quarrel.
The medical staff of the 118 intervened on the spot and tried to revive him without success. The murder weapon was located under a car parked not far from the murder site. The man who shot was captured shortly after at a nearby church.

"

Call the police, I killed a man, I killed a man", are the words that the author of the murder said to the sacristan of the Church of the Santissima Annunziata del Vastato immediately after entering the basilica in a hurry and sitting on some steps. The sacristan, Jean Pascal Colì, immediately called the police who arrested the man who "was wearing work gloves". Via Polleri is currently closed to traffic by the local police and at the scene of the crime, where the body of the murdered boy covered by a white cloth is still present, the magistrate on duty Eugenia Menichetti arrived.
