A 63-year-old man was killed and another was seriously wounded in a shooting Monday night in a city in the northern districts of Marseille plagued by drug trafficking, police sources said.

This death brings to 17 the number of victims already killed since the beginning of the year in the second city of France in violence generally linked to drug trafficking.

7.62 and 9 mm caliber sockets

The sexagenarian, unknown to the police, received several bullet holes in the chest and had already died at the arrival of help near a fast food establishment located next to a deal point in the city of Busserine (14th arrondissement), we learned from a police source.

The second victim, a thirty-year-old known for drug trafficking, had bullet holes in the back and lower limbs and was transported in absolute emergency to the hospital of Timone. Several 7.62 and 9-millimeter shell casings were found at the scene and two people fled, another police source said.

The prefect of police, Frédérique Camilleri, went to the scene. This new shooting comes the day after the death of an 18-year-old killed by a bullet in the head in a nearby city, that of the Mail, while he was sitting in a sofa at the foot of a building plagued by drug trafficking.

In mid-March, the body of a man was found in the trunk of a burned car in a parking lot of the same city of Busserine.
