We reported earlier that the main culprit of the charter scam in Michuhol District, Incheon, deceived and conciliated the victims of the charter scam until just before he was arrested. Mr. Nam also mentioned the East Sea delusional district, where the controversy has recently resurfaced, according to an SBS interview. He claimed that he could give enough money from the land he had secured for the development project, but investigators believe this explanation was also fictitious.

This is an exclusive report by reporter Kim Deok-hyun.

In January, two weeks after the
first arrest warrant was dismissed, Mr. Nam
, a builder who met with the victim of the Michuhol District charter scam, became worried that the
victim would lose the rental deposit, but even insisted that he had enough funds.

[Builder, Mr. Nam Mo: (The building) is about 1 billion, and the loan is 2 billion. The deposit is 1 billion, and the assets are left now. Since there is left, there is no such fuss right now...]

As a basis, I mentioned East Sea delusional land.

[Builder, Mr. Nam Mo: Since the East Sea side bought the money and the land so cheaply, there would be no problem if they brought in 7 billion or 700 billion of the funds from there, I thought...]

This land is the development site of Mangsang 3 Zone in the East Sea Security Free Economic Zone, which was purchased by East Sea ICITI, a special purpose corporation founded by Mr. Nam, in 300 and was selected as a private operator.

However, since 1, the project has been sluggish, with allegations of preferential treatment for East Sea ICT, and last year, the site was auctioned off after failing to raise 950.500 billion won in land expropriation financing.

The group that took over the authority to rectify the situation from Mr. Nam claims that "Mr. Nam's assets, including East Sea land and business rights, are worth 1 billion won," and that if the auction process is suspended and disposed of, it is quite possible to compensate for the damage.

However, investigators believe that Mr. Nam's plan to reimburse the damage was exaggerated, and that there is virtually no real property worth disposing of.

Earlier, the prosecution also put Mr. Nam on trial in November last year, accusing him of inflating the size and financial status of the construction company he represented and being designated as the project implementer of the Mangsang District.
