Syrian artist Mohammed Qanou dies of heart attack

Syrian actor Mohammed Qanou died last night, Saturday, at the age of 49 after suffering a heart attack, in a sudden departure that left a great shock in the Syrian street.
The Syrian Artists Syndicate mourned on its Facebook page the death of Qanou, saying, "The Artists Syndicate in the Syrian Arab Republic mourns the death of our colleague star Muhammad Qanou. The soul of our deceased has mercy and tranquility, and to us, his family and loved ones with sincere patience and condolences in this great casualty."

Mohammed Qanou began his career with Syrian artist Yasser al-Azma in 1995 and participated in successive parts of the famous comedy series "Maraya", among other works.

Mohammed Qanou also emerged from the series "Bab Al-Hara", which documented life in Syria during the French Mandate, and the actor was known for the role of "Saeed Al-Humaimati", and participated in a number of works that were known as the series of the Levantine environment, the latest of which is "Al-Arabji", and "Al-Jinn Alley", which were presented in the month of Ramadan.

It is noteworthy that Qanou, who performed Umrah last week, posted on his Facebook page on Friday, the anniversary of his father's death, saying: "O Hilala, he missed my eyes and left fire in the heart and rested, may God have mercy on you and compensate you with paradise."
