Captured, Jj4 was transferred to the enclosure of the Casteller Alpine Fauna Recovery Center in Trento. It will remain in captivity until the decision of the TAR on the possible culling. No transfer is expected, as has happened in the past for other specimens considered problematic. "We asked the caretakers of the center to pay particular attention to JJ4, avoiding approaching it as it is particularly dangerous," explained the Director of the Department of Civil Protection, Forests and Wildlife of the Province of Trento, Raffaele De Col.

The center, closed to visitors, has three enclosures and currently houses over Jj4 also the M49 bear: a specimen, known as Papillon, known for its daring escapes. In the past, the Casteller center also hosted the M57 and Dj3, then transferred respectively to two parks in Hungary and Germany.

To environmentalists who speak of "prison", Col replies: "A bear is not a domestic cat and this specimen must be guarded because it is particularly aggressive. At the moment, we are the only ones in Italy to have a structure with enclosures that can accommodate these animals. Of course we cannot make the center of Casteller a prison for bears, and the three enclosures available, also in view of the program of reduction of specimens, are insufficient ".
