A man in his 30s who broke into a convenience store that was closed in the early morning hours and stole goods has been arrested by the police.

The Suwon South Police Station announced today (30th) that it has arrested Mr. A, a man in his 19s, on suspicion of special theft and is investigating.

Mr. A is suspected of stealing items worth 5,3 won, including beer, cigarettes, and mobile phone chargers, from a convenience store in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi around <> a.m. the previous day.

When he broke into the convenience store, he opened the door by waving it with his hand without any tools, and then entered the interior to commit the crime.

After packing his belongings, Mr. A left his name and contact information with the simple words, "I will reimburse you next time," and then disappeared suddenly.

After receiving a report from a convenience store employee, the police responded to the scene and called the contact number left by Mr. A and arrested him at the place Mr. A told him nearby.

During the police investigation, Mr. A stated that he lived in the province and came to Suwon to meet an acquaintance.

As for why he left his personal information after the crime, he said, "I committed (the crime) because I was hungry. I'm sorry, so I left my name and contact information."

A police official said, "Mr. A, who has no other job, lived alone without any other family members and appears to have difficulty having normal conversations," adding that details are under investigation.
