Five young men, including a teenager, were killed in the night from Saturday to Sunday in the road exit of their vehicle in the town of Morette (Isère), we learned from the rescue.

The vehicle crashed into a ravine, for a reason not yet determined, before violently hitting a tree, according to firefighters, called around 3 a.m.

Killed by the shock

The five passengers, four young men and a teenager, were killed by the shock, said the same source, confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré.

According to the gendarmes, the four young men were between 18 and 22 years old. The age of the minor has not been given but he would be 15 years old, according to the Dauphiné Libéré which specifies that the other four passengers were soldiers.

"The driver went off the road, the car fell below and wrapped around a tree," said the gendarmerie. The cause of the accident is "not yet known", she added, indicating only that the victims "had just left a party".

The Grenoble prosecutor's office said that an autopsy of the driver of the vehicle was to take place Monday morning and would give rise to toxicological samples. The results will be known later this week, the prosecutor's office said.
