It is the victim, a 30-year-old mother, who dialed Monday night to come to her rescue. On the spot, in a dwelling in the Côte Pavée district, the Toulouse police found her with a swollen face. While she was being taken to the hospital, the perpetrator, her ex-husband, was arrested in the area.
The young woman, who suffers from a fractured orbital floor, was prescribed five days of total interruption of work. According to her account, her ex had come to see their little girl after her Easter weekend. But the conversation, about organizational and financial problems, quickly escalated and degenerated into a rain of punches.
The suspect, aged 32 and already known to the services, has, from a police source, tried to minimize the facts during his custody. He was brought before a prosecutor on Wednesday.
