For 90 minutes, the audience of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai flew last night with singer Amir Hussain Hosni Nia and his band, during a concert entitled "Reflections of Rumi" at the Foundation's theater in the presence of hundreds of connoisseurs of Sufi songs that resounded in the throat of Amir Hussein and increased by the recitation of paintings and dreamy music that touched hearts.

The ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of Al Owais Cultural Foundation, Abdul Hamid Ahmed, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr. Fatima Al Sayegh, and a large number of Emirati and Arab intellectuals and artists and members of different communities who were filled with the Foundation's hall, as the Ramadan evening turned into a social occasion hosted by Al Owais Foundation, which was not without talk of art and culture, especially high-end Sufi music.

Amir Hussein and his band performed 12 pieces accompanied by tambourine, flute, oud, piano and expressive dance, as he presented the pieces: The Ocean, An Endless Path, Sufi Dance, Silence, Desert Flowers, Spiritual Permission, Hijra, Walking in the Desert, Time for Union, Looking to the Sky, Endless Hope, and Freedom.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Fatima Al-Sayegh presented the Foundation's shield to the artist Amir Hussein, thanked him for his fine art and wished him more success in his artistic mission.

Amir Hussain thanked the Al Owais Foundation, which allowed him to make his debut in Dubai on stage, adding that he is grateful for this institution that sponsors art and culture.

Amir Hossein, born in Tehran in 1973, is a poet, composer, musician, singer, writer and researcher. In 2000, he launched a concert project combining jazz and oriental music, as well as Sufi-inspired and contemporary dance performances, and performed around the world in Iran, Australia, Turkey, Austria, India, Canada and others.

Amir Hussain has received a number of awards from around the world, including Best UNESCO Song 2019, Independent Artist Award 2017, Best Singer Award at the International Festival of India 2015, and Best Iranian Music Album Award 2011.
