Mohammed Bin Rashid Library discusses cooperation with Bibliotheca Alexandrina and AFAC

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library received Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt, and Dr. Rima Mesmar, Executive Director of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), to learn about the Mohammed bin Rashid Library's pioneering experience and smart services, as well as to discuss ways of future cooperation in common fields, and exchange experiences in the public library sector.

Zayed and Mesmar were received by Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, who pointed out the importance of expanding international strategic partnerships and exchanging experiences in the cultural and knowledge sectors. He stressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage through the establishment of various museums and strengthening the cultural structure, and this is what we are witnessing in the UAE, through the development of cultural infrastructure that contributes to the development of the creative and cultural sector in various emirates.

The meeting discussed cooperation in cultural programs, and working to develop joint events that enrich the heritage and cultural aspect between the two countries, especially highlighting Egypt's cultural dimension, which is one of the oldest civilizations in human history, and is characterized by its ancient history and unique capabilities.

The Director of the BA and the Executive Director of AFAC praised the great diversity, harmony and integration of content at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library between paper, digital, audio, multimedia, references, sources and rare collectibles.
