Sofia Richie insisted on converting to Judaism to marry Elliot Grainge. It's been a year since the 24-year-old model was engaged to Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge's son and is now ready to marry him in the Jewish tradition.
"What a magical day," she wrote in an Instagram story on the day of the recognition of her conversion. "I would like to thank the cantor (or the hazzan, officiator and guardian of the liturgy in Judaism) Nathan Lam for helping me during my conversion process to Judaism. Last year, the day after the announcement of his daughter's engagement, Lionel Richie was full of praise for his future son-in-law, the latter having wanted to do things in due form by asking for his approval.
"I love Elliot, I've known him since he was 12. I don't need to look behind my back and watch the boy. I know who he is," said the All Night Long singer. "As a father, you know, she's my little girl, so she's in good hands."
All you have to do is wait before the wedding, which should not be long in coming!
