Landings continue on the Italian coasts. The Ocean Viking, the ship of the NGO SOS Mediterranee docked at pier 22 of the port of Salerno a few minutes after 8 am. On board the boat there are 92 migrants, rescued in recent days off the coast of Libya. Of these, 51 are minors, three of whom are accompanied. The Prefecture of Salerno has already set in motion the tried and tested machine for the reception of refugees. The operations, also due to the strong wind, however, promise to be more complicated than usual.

The boat carrying 500 migrants reported yesterday by the Alarm Phone in distress in the central Mediterranean, fleeing Libya, is still at sea, according to initial hypotheses. The Alarm Phone has re-established contact with the boat in distress in the Maltese SAR area with about 500 migrants on board. The telephone service sent the updated coordinates to the authorities asking again to intervene in rescue, also given the difficult weather conditions. Near its location there are two freighters, "but they are not equipped to carry out such a massive rescue operation," the Alarm Phone reports.
The fishing boat is located in the SAR of Malta, the engine works and the boat proceeds north, according to journalist Sergio Scandura of Radio Radicale, Valletta has taken over the coordination of rescue after an Italian input. The recovery is, however, made difficult by weather conditions: with waves up to 3 meters high and, until last night, wind gusts of over 40 knots. During the night to 'shade' the boat, protecting it from high waves, two merchant ships and the ship Geo Berents of MSF arrived.
