group BTS' first solo album, Jimin, reached No. 1 on the US Billboard singles chart. Psy's "Gangnam Style" peaked at No. 2, the highest on the chart so far, with Jimin becoming the first Korean solo artist to reach the top.

BTS Jimin's first solo album's title track "Like Crazy" reached No. 100 on the Billboard Hot 1 ten days after the album's release.

It is the first time that a Korean singer has gone solo at No. 1, and the previous best was Psy's "Gangnam Style," which reached No. 2012 in 2.

BTS was the only K-pop group to reach No. 100 on the Hot 1, making Jimin the first K-pop singer to reach the top in both solo and group roles.

BTS members also celebrated together, saying they were "proud."

Jimin, who also wrote and composed music, took inspiration from the romance movie of the same title released in 2011 and translated it into the so-called "synth pop" genre with a prominent synthesizer sound.

Jimin reminisced about the time of isolation and wandering, such as concerts being canceled due to the corona crisis, and painted a self-portrait that gradually matured into music.
