The secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, is present at the sit-in outside the court of Rome where today the new hearing of the Judge is scheduled for the prelminare hearing, in the proceeding for the death of Giulio Regeni that sees four 007 Egyptians accused. Schlein embraced Regeni's parents, Paola and Claudio. Banners demanding justice for the Italian researcher killed in Egypt in 2016 are displayed.

"A sign of closeness to the family of Giulio Regeni and to the many people who in these few years have never stopped asking for truth and justice. We strongly believe that this process must go on, that it must be done, we are here with this hope". So Elly Schlein.

"We are present in the face of the absentees, so that those who kill are tried in Italy and do not go unpunished", said Alessandra Ballerini, lawyer of the parents of the Friulian researcher, who yesterday had made an appeal on her Facebook profile, addressing the four Egyptians under investigation: "Do not be cowards. Present yourself at the trial"

"We will return with the media escort also for the case of Ilaria Alpi and Miran Hrovatin, murdered 30 years ago in Somalia. New documents have been published proving Gladio's misdirections. We will return to deliver them with our lawyers in the Prosecutor's Office asking that the spotlight be rekindled. Just as we do not archive Regeni, we do not intend to close this other case with the 'We do not archive' committee". This was said by Giuseppe Giulietti of Articolo 21 participating in the sit-in outside the court of Rome organized on the occasion of the hearing for the death of Giulio Regeni.
