A man in his 40s who had served time for molesting a disabled person has been sentenced to life in prison for stalking an underage disabled person a month after his release.

Yesterday (2nd), the 16th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Law (Judge Kim Tae-hwan) announced that he sentenced Mr. A (46), who was charged with theft and violation of the law on the punishment of stalking crimes, to one year in prison.

Miss A is accused of chasing and stalking Miss B, a disabled schoolgirl, at a subway station in Michuhol-gu, Incheon at around 1 a.m. on December 2021, 12.

Miss A followed Miss B, who was going to school at the time, and boarded the subway, and when Miss B changed to a bus, she boarded with her and followed her to the front of the school.

In the process, he also spoke to Miss B to grasp her intellectual abilities.

As it turned out, Mr. A had been released from Anyang Prison in November 21 after serving one year and six months in prison in May 7 for forcibly abusing a disabled person using a similar method, and he was again in court a month after his release.

After examining the case, the court noted that "the defendant committed another offense a month after the end of his sentence of imprisonment for forcible molestation of a disabled person."

"The defendant chased a minor victim with leg problems and questioned her intellectual abilities, which is a very poor offense," he said.
