It was a day when wildfire smoke engulfed the country. As you can see, today (2nd) there were well over 30 wildfires in a single day. In particular, in Hongseong, South Chungcheong, the highest stage, the third phase of forest fire response was issued, and the surrounding private houses and farms suffered heavy damage.

The farm, with its hundreds of goats, was burned to the ground, leaving only form.

A forest fire in nearby Yasan had engulfed the farm.

Strong winds of around 3 meters per second caused the fire to rise to tens of meters as the fire spread.

A forest fire broke out in Hongseong, South Chungcheong, around 40 a.m. today.

Fire and forest authorities continued to ramp up the response level, issuing Phase 11 of the wildfire response around 1:20 p.m. today, mobilizing 3 helicopters and more than 18,1 personnel to extinguish the fire.

So far, 3 buildings in the surrounding area, including private houses, have been burned, and the damage is expected to increase as the fire is moving in various directions.

More than 16 residents have now been urgently evacuated to the community center and a nearby elementary school.

Currently, it is estimated that the length of the fire line is about 100.14 kilometers and the forest fire-affected area is more than 5 ha.800

Currently, South Chungcheong Province has issued an order to mobilize all employees to fight the fire.

Great fires also ensued in the Great War.

At around 1:12 p.m. today, the second phase of fire and response was issued at the border between Sanjik-dong and Geumsan-myeon, Seo-gu, Daejeon, and extinguishing work is still underway.

There were no casualties or damage to facilities, but more than 20 elderly people from a nearby nursing home were evacuated to the community center.
