There are 32 survivors of the Cutro shipwreck who have been relocated to Germany asking for international protection. The flight of the Polish company Enter Air carrying the migrants who were rescued that night between 25 and 26 February, took off at 9.57 from Crotone airport with destination Hamburg. A process that has been accelerated compared to traditional times for which it takes over three months.

The Immigration Office of the Crotone Police Headquarters and the European Asylum Agency registered the requests submitted with the so-called 'C3 form' which was then sent to the "Dublin Unit" from which the request was proposed to Germany whose delegation has carried out interviews in recent weeks. There were 28 Afghans, two Syrians, an Iraqi and a Somali. Only two women. The youngest to leave is 11 years old. They will go to a reception center in Hamburg from where, after completing the paperwork with Germany, they can then be reunited with their families.

"They thanked us for the help we gave them. They suffered so much and worked hard to overcome the tragedy. Today we see happy faces and they deserve it after what they went through," said Lavinia Tuccimei, a psychologist with the Italian Red Cross who listened to all their stories this month. The Italian Red Cross donated an Easter egg to the younger children. Before leaving, there were selfies with the volunteers who helped them overcome the dramatic moment, and hugs to the policemen of the Police Headquarters for the assistance received.
