The treasurer of an association of disabled people based in Taverny (Val-d'Oise) is accused of embezzling 660,000 euros between 2018 and 2022. This 47-year-old CFDT union delegate has acknowledged the facts, reports Le Parisien. She will be tried in March 2024 before the Pontoise Criminal Court, alongside her ex-partner, her mother and a chartered accountant.
Travel, jewelry, vehicles...
A complaint was filed last June by the president of the Association for adults and young disabled people of Val-d'Oise (Apajh 95), after a control of the Urssaf. "I found it strange that social works were so reduced for employees. There were holiday vouchers but little else," she said. And for good reason: the treasurer would have embezzled the equivalent of more than two years of budget.
A sum that she would have used to pay for the taxi license of her former companion, but also holidays abroad, jewelry, vehicles or multimedia equipment. The employee has since been dismissed. His house and several of his bank accounts were seized pending trial.
