Egypt.. Stop visiting the Great Pyramid of Cheops

The Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Egypt agreed to stop visiting the Great Pyramid of Cheops from the inside to begin carrying out restoration and maintenance work.

The Menkaure Pyramid will be open to visit from the inside for the duration of the closure of the Khufu Pyramid, starting next June.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, said that with regard to work in the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish antiquities sector, it was noted that restoration and maintenance work has been completed at the Babylon Fort and the Ben Athra Temple in the Old Egypt area.

According to "Cairo 24", the careful restoration work has been completed in the Qaitbay Mosque in the Mamluk desert in the Manshiet Nasser area, and restoration work is underway in each of the Al-Zahir Baybars Al-Bandaqdari Mosque in Al-Daher Square in Cairo, and the second phase in the Saffron Palace inside the buildings of Ain Shams University in Abbasiya, Masih Pasha Mosque in Sayeda Aisha Square, Marzouq Al-Ahmadi Mosque on Al-Gamaleya Street, Ismail Pasha Palace in Lazoghli Square, Qaitbay Agency in Gamaleya, Al-Sawaki Building in the wall of the eye stream in Old Egypt, and the domes of the seven girls in the city of Fustat El Jadida
