A woman in her forties filed a complaint for rape against a radiologist based in Brunoy (Essonne), south of Paris. The practitioner was indicted this Sunday, AFP learned from a police source confirmed by the Evry prosecutor's office.

The forty-year-old went Thursday to a medical imaging center to perform a pelvic ultrasound. She accuses the radiologist, of the same age group, of having raped her, in particular by using a probe, and of having made comments of a sexual nature.

Radiologist denies facts

According to a police source, the patient quickly interrupted the medical examination and issued a report on the digital platform for reporting attacks on persons and accompanying victims (Pnav). Contacted by the police, she then filed a complaint.

The radiologist, he was placed in custody Friday, according to the prosecutor's office. In front of investigators, he denied the facts assuring, among other things, that the woman had kissed him, says a source close to the case. During a confrontation, the two people maintained their opposite version of the facts, says the police source. On Sunday, the suspect was indicted and released under judicial control. Of Tunisian origin, his passport was withdrawn in order to avoid any departure abroad, said the prosecutor's office. The investigation, now entrusted to an investigating judge, continues.
