A 26-year-old motorist was flashed at 167 km / h on a departmental road at Rodilhan, near Nimes, on a stretch of road limited to 80 km / h. A great speeding for which he incurs a fine of 500 euros, the loss of six points on his driving license and his suspension for up to three years, as well as the definitive confiscation of the vehicle. He also tested positive for cannabis. He faces an additional fine of 4,500 euros and two years in prison.

This weekend, again, a motorist was also checked for speeding by the Gard gendarmes. This time on the A9 motorway, between Nîmes and Montpellier. Checked at 190 km/h instead of 130 km/h, he had to find a way to rent a fortune to finish his journey, his vehicle having been confiscated, pending possible prosecution.
