Since the beginning of the garbage collectors' strike, waste has been piling up in the streets of Paris. For Bisk, a French artist and sculptor, it's a new playground: "It's an open-air exhibition," he laughs. With spray paint, he gives a monster's face to these piles without form of detritus.

"Like an immersive exhibition... »

This idea did not come about with the garbage collectors' strike because Bisk has already worked with this type of material: "I had locked myself in a landfill where I turned the mountains of garbage into monsters. It was like an immersive exhibition."

OUR "STREET ART" DOSSIER

Since the beginning of the strike, the artist has tagged nearly 3,000 bags of rubbish. An act that intrigues, of course: the artist is often challenged by passers-by... or by the police, who think he's going to set fire to the garbage. "It's sculpture, installation. After, that we call it street art, contemporary art, me, I love what I do. "
