It is an unusual intervention that mobilized the firefighters of the Gard, Sunday, in Aubais (Gard). The department's animal intervention unit rescued a horse, which had fallen into a septic tank about one meter deep.

It is not known how the poor animal became trapped, in the middle of the night, in this cavity. It was extricated thanks to lifting angles, and a mechanical shovel, lent by a neighbor. Before proceeding with its rescue, however, the horse had to be sedated by a local veterinarian. "When the horse came out, his general condition was low, and a good hour of rest was necessary for him to be on his four legs and to regain his appetite," say the Gard firefighters, on Facebook.
