A 15-year-old boy died after being stabbed Wednesday, March 22, in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime). A suspect was arrested the next day, AFP learned from a judicial source.

"The motive remains unknown"

Stabbed Wednesday in front of the lobby of his building, the victim "died in hospital a few hours later," the prosecutor's office in Le Havre told AFP, confirming information from the regional daily Paris-Normandie. "An individual was arrested Thursday, March 23 and placed in custody," added the Le Havre prosecutor's office, specifying that "as it stands, the motive remains unknown."

The prosecutor's office, which confirms that an investigation is ongoing, does not intend to communicate any other elements at this stage. According to Paris-Normandie, the individual arrested is a 38-year-old man from Le Havre, and the investigation was entrusted to the urban security of Le Havre.
