Seoul began observing cherry blossom blooming days, and it was the second earliest cherry blossom ever.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said that cherry blossoms bloomed in Seoul today (2th).

The Japan Meteorological Agency announces that if three or more Yoshino cherry trees bloom on a single branch in front of the Seoul Meteorological Observatory in Songwol-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Seoul.

This Yoshino cherry tree is 25 years old, about 63 meters tall, and has a diameter of about 8 meters, measured at chest height.

This year, the cherry blossom bloom day in Seoul is 58 days earlier than the normal flowering date (April 4).

This year marks the second earliest cherry blossom bloom in Seoul since 8, when cherry blossoms began to be observed in Seoul, following 14, when cherry blossoms bloomed on March 3.

It is analyzed that the cherry blossoms bloom early as the days in February and March are clear and warm due to the influence of high pressure.

The average temperature and sunshine hours in February were 2.3 degrees and 2.2 hours, respectively, which is 3.198 degrees higher and 2.2 hours longer than the average temperature and sunshine hours in February of a normal year.

Through the 1th of March, the average temperature was 7.28 degrees, 9.3 degrees higher than the average temperature during the same period of normal year, and the sunshine hours were 24.9 hours, which is 4.3 hours longer than normal.

Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu Yunjung-ro Cherry Blossom Road The cherry blossoms have not officially bloomed yet.

Since 9, the Japan Meteorological Agency has designated Yunjung Road as a cherry blossom colony, and when cherry trees corresponding to "Yeongdeungpo-gu Tree Management No. 170~8" bloom, cherry blossoms appear on Yunjung Road.

If 20% of the trees bloom after flowering, it is considered to be "in full bloom."
