A man fleeing from
prosecution investigators fell from the third floor and died. I didn't pay a fine of 3 million won and was wanted for it.

A man in his 500s fell from the third floor of a multi-family house in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, at around 3:60 am yesterday (24th), and Mr. A jumped from the window on the third floor and fell to the floor after hitting the rain gutter of the opposite building.

Mr. A was taken to the hospital by the paramedics who were dispatched, but eventually died.

[THE WITNESS: I was grunting, so I went out, so the man fell there.]

It was confirmed that prosecution investigators came to the house just before Mr. A jumped.

[Witness: Two young men from above came to visit, the police came first, than the paramedics.]

Mr. A was fined 10 million won for violating the Fraudulent Check Control Act, but he did not pay and was registered as a wanted person.

[Police official: They said they went to visit and knocked on the door from outside and tried to call them.]

Police believe that Mr. A was running away from investigators who came to his home when the accident occurred.



Fire and smoke billowing from the veranda of --- apartments.

At around 30 noon today, a fire broke out on the 3th floor of a 500-story apartment building in Giheung-gu, Yongin City, Gyeonggi, prompting dozens of residents to evacuate.

There were no casualties, but the fire spread to the 12th floor and was extinguished in just over an hour after burning the second generation.

Fire authorities and police are investigating the exact cause of the fire, believing the fire started while the owner of the household was out and about.


At around 20
a.m. ---, a food and paper cup storage warehouse in Goyang, Gyeonggi, caught fire and burned four buildings.

It was confirmed that the factory was not operating at the time and there were no people inside.
