um Al Emarat Park will host the 'One Hundred Best Arabic Posters' exhibition, which showcases features of contemporary visual culture in the Arab world, and celebrates the diversity of the creative community and the richness of the cultural scene in the region, and will run until April 23.

The 100 posters were selected following an open call to participate in the fourth edition of the 'One Hundred Arabic Posters' competition, supported by 421, which caters to promising artists and creative practitioners in more than 30 countries, and the winning artworks were selected for display at the exhibition.

Rasha Qiblawi, Director of Corporate Communications at um Al Emarat Park, said: "Art is an essential part of our social fabric, and we are constantly looking for ways to enrich and support the cultural and creative scene in all its forms, including art exhibitions such as the One Hundred Best Arabic Posters, partnerships with the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, cultural events such as the Thai Festival, and children's art workshops at the Park Market."

She added: "um Al Emarat Park's commitment to culture and arts is part of its mission to create a strong and cohesive community in Abu Dhabi where parks and natural sites play an important role in bringing people closer together, fostering feelings of intimacy, love and connectedness, which is why we host programs that bring people together in a vibrant space that celebrates inspiring cultural and artistic initiatives in the community."

A group of students and academics from Cairo launched the "One Hundred Best Arabic Posters" exhibition, with the aim of highlighting and celebrating the best posters in the Arab world, and represents a valuable addition to the contemporary graphic design archive in the Arab world, and to document contemporary visual designs that receive little attention.

As a space for research, learning and experimentation, 421 provides an environment that nurtures emerging creative communities, and anyone who wishes to dedicate the arts as a factor of research and societal transformation.

During the holy month of Ramadan, um Al Emarat Park is open from 10am to <>am.

The exhibition is in addition to the archive of contemporary graphic design in the Arab world, and to document contemporary visual designs that do not receive sufficient attention.

Rasha Qiblawi:

"Art is an essential part of our social fabric, and so we are constantly looking for ways to enrich and support the cultural and creative landscape in its various forms, including art exhibitions."
