• On July 4, 2022, Gabriel Fourmigué and Aurélie Pardon, both teachers in a college in Tarbes, were murdered in Pouyastruc, in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
  • Cédric Tauleygne, the father of the two children of the teacher with whom he was divorcing, was quickly suspected of being the author of this double murder. He had fled.
  • The body of a man "likely to match that of Cédric Tauleygne" was found Sunday in Spain. If his identity papers were found on the spot, the autopsy has just confirmed that it is indeed him.

Since Sunday, everything suggested that the body found by a hunter on the slopes of Peña Oroel, Spain, was that of Cédric Tauleygne. This man is suspected of having killed on July 4 in Pouyastruc, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, his wife Aurélie Pardon and Gabriel Fourmigué. Several pieces of identification in his name found near the body had supported this lead.

It has just been confirmed by the first results of the autopsy carried out by the Spanish authorities Thursday morning, in the presence of members of the research section of the gendarmerie of Toulouse.

"If the investigating magistrate remains pending the communication, by the Spanish authorities, of the final report of this technical operation, it already appears that the dentition of the body is compatible with the dental panorama of Cédric Tauleygne which was in the possession of the French investigators," says Rodolphe Jarry, the prosecutor of the Republic of Pau.

DNA analysis underway

The military was able to obtain "genetic material from the body" that will be used to make comparisons with the DNA of the man suspected of killing the two teachers. "The results of this expertise will take place in the course of next week," says the representative of the Pau prosecutor's office.

On the day of the incident, Cédric Tauleygne had shot dead the mother of his children as well as his fellow teacher with whom she had recently become closer. He then fled on a motorcycle to Spain. It was there that the two-wheeler was found shortly after, not far from the area where the body was found.
