In early spring, Bosten Lake is full of water, clear and transparent, water birds soaring, thousands of water birds flying in the spring breeze, playing and foraging on the shallows, playing a vibrant "spring love song". These returning birds ranged from dozens to hundreds in flocks, some of them leisurely following the current, some flying low close to the water, some diving into the water to feed, some chasing and playing, from time to time making shrill or stubborn calls, the scene is very spectacular.

Bosten Lake is the largest inland freshwater lake in China, with a water area of 1646,60 square kilometers, and not only rich fishery resources but also 198,<> mu of reeds around the lake. In recent years, Bohu County has actively practiced the development concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains", increased the protection of the ecological environment of Bosten Lake, and implemented environmental protection projects through ecological water transmission, so that the water body of the entire Bosten Lake formed a virtuous cycle, which not only provided conditions for the growth of reeds, but also provided a place for all kinds of birds to inhabit and breed. With the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of Bosten Lake, the variety and number of wild birds have been increasing, including <> species of birds, including jade-belt sea eagles, falcons, golden eagles, black storks and other protected birds in China. Flocks of waterbirds inhabit the Bosten Lake wetlands and have become natural places for birds to stop, feed and breed during their migration.

"In order to provide a good habitat for the birds staying, we have specially built a platform and bird island for these birds to stay, and also built six bird monitoring stations around Bosten Lake to regularly monitor bird activities, providing a good ecological environment for wild birds to stay and breed." Wu Lijie, a staff member of the Bohu County Wildlife Protection Station, said. (End)
