After a strong mobilization of strikers in public transport marked by very disrupted traffic this Thursday, the situation should be significantly different this Friday, according to the forecasts of operators. The SNCF plans an improvement on the main lines and the TER, including 3 TGV out of 5, and still difficulties in Ile-de-France, while the railway unions must meet to discuss the continuation of the movement against the pension reform. NCF Voyageurs plans to maintain Friday three-quarters of TGV Inoui and Ouigo, three-fifths of Intercités and three-fifths of TER, said a spokesman. No night trains will run. This is a clear improvement compared to Thursday, the ninth day of mobilization against the pension reform, but there will be fewer trains than at the beginning of the week.

Series of cancellations at airports

For its part, the RATP expects normal traffic Friday, except on lines A and B of the RER, according to a statement published Thursday. The RATP plans for Friday on average 3 trains out of 4 on the RER A and 2 trains out of 3 on the B, the interconnections being maintained with the parts of these lines operated by the SNCF. This time, metros, trams and buses must run normally, except in the case of improvised demonstrations. A return to normal is also envisaged in most transport networks in major provincial cities.

On the side of airports, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) asks companies to cancel again 30% of their flights at Paris-Orly Friday and 20% at other airports because of the strike of air traffic controllers against the pension reform, announced Thursday this administration.

The airports concerned in the region by the cancellation of one flight in five will be Marseille-Provence, Bordeaux-Mérignac and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, and this both Friday and Saturday, said the DGAC in a statement. At Orly, the situation will improve Saturday for travelers with 15% of flights canceled, according to the same source.

As for the road network, occasional blockages are to be envisaged, as in recent days, in major cities and strategic sites (ports, fuel depots, etc.).
