Monday, in the closed door of a house in Lagardelle, a commune of the Lot located between Cahors and Fumel, a man in his forties is suspected of having shot his wife before ending his life.

"Two people died in Lagardelle. This is a couple. The man would have killed the woman with a gun" then he would have "turned this weapon against him," said the prosecutor of Cahors, Alexandre Rossi.

The couple had an 11-year-old child

According to the first elements of the investigation, the couple of forty-year-olds was "obviously in the process of separation". The prosecutor's office opened an investigation for "homicide by spouse", entrusted to the gendarmerie services.

On the day of the tragedy, the couple had accompanied their 11-year-old child to school before returning home. The latter was entrusted to a specialized structure.
