Two drug trafficking networks were recently dismantled by the judicial police of Orleans (Loiret). The first investigation led to the arrest on March 7 of eight suspects in municipalities of the metropolis and Gien. All are between 25 and 35 years old, reports France Bleu Orléans.

The investigations began in November 2021 after an intelligence on a sibling, suspected of being at the head of this network. The drugs, heroin and cannabis, came from Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain.

Four suspects caught red-handed

In total, the trafficking would have generated 400,000 euros per year, only thanks to heroin. Four suspects have been remanded in custody and two are free but under judicial supervision.

A second network was also dismantled. The investigation had this time started after the report of a go fast on the A10. The police caught four people delivering drugs. In their truck, 100 kg of cannabis herb and three kilos of cannabis were discovered. A fifth suspect was arrested last Thursday. The defendants, originally from South America, have been imprisoned and are awaiting trial.
