The first anti-violence smartwatch for women who have suffered threats was delivered to Naples.

It was received by a woman mother of two minor children who denounced her ex-husband who had threatened to scar her with acid and kill her and then bury her body in a hidden place. The carabinieri gave her and installed the smart watch, one of the 45 devices available.

The watch is equipped with an alarm system connected directly to the Carabinieri Operations Centre which, in case of need, will be able to offer timely intervention. Equipped with a real-time location system, it can, in fact, guide police forces, providing them with precise geographical coordinates. The mobile angel is part of a wide-ranging project that has as its focal point the victims of violence.

On November 30, the Provincial Command of Naples, the Section of the weak groups of the Neapolitan Public Prosecutor's Office, the Vodafone Italy Foundation and the Soroptimist International Club Naples had launched the mobile angel project, which, after the Neapolitan experimentation, is also extended to Milan and Turin. A context of protection within which the 'room all to oneself' has also been established, an environment where those who have suffered harassment can feel at ease in telling their experience. There are three rooms in the province of Naples: Capodimonte, Ercolano and Caivano. All propped up by carabinieri highly specialized in the management of crimes of this tenor.
