It's been five years since Taylor Swift last went on tour, during which time she released four albums, including Grammy Award-winning Folklore. His absence live had also been imposed by the pandemic and now he returns, as a liberation, with a show, Eras, of three hours and fifteen minutes, 44 songs that summarize his career.

The star had promised that the show would be "a journey through all my musical eras" and the anxiety to get tickets was so great that it brought down Ticketmaster's systems. Despite this, the tour broke the record for the most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day, 2.4 million. About 80,<> of those fans watched the first show at Arizona's State Farm Stadium.

The set has been divided into sections, one for each of her 10 albums, which trace her journey from naïve country to chart-topping pop star to lockdown-era folk singer (albeit with a confusing chronology). She opened with Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, a fan favorite on 2019's Lover album, before moving on to the dreamy pop of Cruel Summer. Dressed in a diamond-studded leotard and surrounded by dancers with elaborate peacock tails, the pop star enjoyed the applause of the crowd, declaring, "I don't know how to process all this and how it's making me feel right now."
