maximum working hours are reduced to 60 hours, it is somewhat far from the hope of the field. One survey found that actual workers wanted less than 40 hours a week.

Working hours, which are currently 40 hours plus a maximum extension of 12 hours,
are often overwhelmed by the fact that this is not well followed.

[Workers: They say they work 8 hours a day, but they sometimes work 9, 10, 11 hours, and they work a lot... No leisure.]

A survey by the Institute for Health and Social Affairs found that the number of hours employed workers want to work is 37 hours, which is lower than the current allowable hours.

The desired working hours became shorter as the age group went down, with a difference of three hours from 20 hours for those in their 35s and 50 hours for those in their 38s.

Vacations are good, but they are of the opinion that it is unrealistic in the current work culture, such as lack of manpower and bosses.

Wage earners with an average of 3 days of annual leave actually used 17.11 days.

I couldn't use it for about 6 days, and the main reasons were the lack of substitutes and the heavy workload.

[Employee: If you don't work the hours your boss wants in the competition, you'll be stamped unconditionally, because that's the reality now...] [Worker: (What if you offered to provide such an institutional mechanism to let me rest unconditionally?) I don't think it will be properly followed....]

The average working hours in Korea exceed 5,1 hours, which is still longer than the OECD average.

[Kim Jong-jin/Director of the Working Citizen Research Institute: Many countries work an average of 9 to 38 hours. We need to discuss how to reduce working hours and ensure vacations, and have a social dialogue.]

Institutional enhancements are needed to increase effectiveness, such as preventing misuse of comprehensive wages and strengthening the guarantee of the use of leave.
