Northern Peru tries to recover after the torrential rains and floods caused by the powerful cyclone Yaku that has already made at least 6 victims. In cities like Trujillo or Lambayeque, the water in the streets reached the knees. President Dina Boluarte said the government has declared a state of emergency in 400 districts as it tries to bring relief to Peru's hardest-hit regions. The National Institute of Civil Protection said 58 people had been killed since the rainy season began, which began a few months ago.
