In women of childbearing age, one in three women will develop uterine fibroids. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors. But just because it's benign doesn't mean it's nothing! This tumor can evolve unpredictably, from the size of a pea to that of a grapefruit, affect the health, fertility of the person.

We talk about uterine fibroids, their possible symptoms, consequences and treatments with Aïssatou Sidibé, nurse clinician at the mother-child unit of the University of Montreal hospital center. Expert patient, she created the blog Fibromelle, then the association "Vivre 100 Fibromes" which she chairs. She is co-author, with Marie-Josée Thibert, of the book Endometriosis and uterine fibroid, from suffering to action, published by Litos Santé. Listen to this exchange!
